Work / Legacy
Earlier work
Earlier projects, kept here with their years: my first jobs in Italy, sports platforms at deltatre, and the websites I built and ran on my own. Some of those sites have since been rebuilt by others, so their links open archived copies of my versions on the Wayback Machine.
Where it started
2005–2008
Ribes Informatica
Ivrea and Turin · Software Developer · PHP, MySQL
Websites and tools for Vodafone’s technical department, data extraction and reporting for alternative-energy plants, and the integration of modules into open-source CMSs.
2008–2010
Quintetto
Turin and Pont-Saint-Martin · Software Developer · C#, SQL Server, XSLT
Solutions built on Quintetto’s multi-channel platform, and custom online-survey projects that I owned. I was the lead developer of the Windows services for an Advanced Traffic Management System, which talked to UMTS modems through AT commands.
2010–2012
Netics
Turin · Software Developer · Symfony, Propel
Lead developer of a custom web-based ERP, built on Symfony with an MVC architecture and Propel.
At deltatre
2012
London2012.com
Olympic and Paralympic Games · Software Developer
During the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games I worked on new features such as live scoreboards with real-time results from the competitions. I built the medal tables and the team and athlete pages, and managed editorial content to publish the latest news from each discipline. It was one of the most important projects I have worked on.
2014
FIFA.com
FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 · Software Developer
A high-traffic website with billions of page views and millions of unique visitors. During the 2014 World Cup in Brazil I was part of the support team: development, bug fixing, tuning and optimisation. We worked as a Scrum team, with a backlog, sprints and retrospectives.
2012–2015
More sports platforms
C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, MongoDB, XSLT
The Baku 2015 European Games; the CBC mobile and tablet app for the 2015 Pan Am Games; Ziggo Sport for Liberty Global; and the Web API team, building RESTful APIs that served several clients’ apps.
On my own
2012–2014
JoomlaJungle
Joomla extensions · Founder
I created, marketed and sold Joomla extensions and components to customers around the world.
2015–2026
Alien Army
Official website · Main developer and webmaster
The official website of Alien Army, the collective born in 1996 that brings together some of the greatest turntable talents Italy has ever seen. I built and ran the site from 2015, together with DJ Skizo, the founder of Alien Army and one of the pioneers of Italian hip hop DJing, who gave me the chance to learn the art of DJing more deeply. I took part in scratch battles for several years.
2015–2026
DJ Skizo
Official website · Main developer
The official website of DJ Skizo, music producer, turntable innovator and founder of Alien Army. I built the whole site and was its main developer until 2026.
2015–2026
DMC / Killa Combat Italy
DJ battle events · Main developer
The website of the Italian DMC and Killa Combat Scratch DJ battles: news, rules, and the dates of the main live and online events. I built the whole site and was its main developer until 2026; the domain now redirects to Scratch Italia.
2018–2024
Earlier WordPress plugins
Free plugins · Author
The plugins that came before the ones I maintain today. Foursquare Integration (2018) lists places near the visitor through the Foursquare API: a showcase, never released publicly. Ultimate Mortgage Calculator (2019) adds a mortgage calculator to any post or page with a shortcode. Email for Download (2019) collected visitors’ email addresses in exchange for free downloads, the same idea Lead Magnet Locker builds on today. Mini Shopping Cart for WooCommerce (2020–2021) was built for Vico Food Box and never released. SnapWizard (2024) embedded an Instagram feed, and was retired when Meta shut down the Instagram Basic Display API.
2021–2026
Casa Nostra Kitchen
Restaurant website · Freelance, end to end
The website of a traditional Italian restaurant. A freelance project from start to finish: I found the client, pitched the project and signed the contract, then built the site and put it online, before AI coding tools were around.
